Morning <<First Name>>,

Today I'm headed (finally) home to NYC! I think I'm staying put for a little while. Take a look at my initial take on my adventures in Toronto for Pride - it's an incredibly well-organized compact, managable and friendly event!

GAYographer Marches with Canada's PM
Sunday I walked alongside Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as he became the first world leader to march in a pride parade, read my blog about it. Huge thanks go to Man About World Travel and Toronto & Ontario Tourism.
UN HCR Independent Expert
In an unprecedented move - just after GAYography went to press last week - the UN Human Rights Commission (UNHCR) voted to create an LGBT expert to deal with violence and discrimination against our community. Also, I attended a dialogue on LGBT rights at the White House last week, where activists and others motivated us.
Are you out this week in P-town? I still need to make the trek - but if not you should be in Barcelona (my pick here), Munich or Luxembourg for Pride this weekend. What are your plans for Pines Party this year? That's my goal for the 23rd weekend coming up.

The Orlando massacre opened up quiet discussion globally on LGBT issues, reports the LA Times. Also, Puerto Rico unveiled an LGBT monument that includes a memorial to the 26 Puerto Rican victims of the shooting as well as the others.

Christian Mingle now allows gay dating after a lawsuit filed in California claimed discrimination (but I wouldn't run to meet there!).

  Travel

Be careful out on Jacob Riis Beach outside of NYC, police arrested a man for being naked, only momentarily.

Read about Pride in Paris - they chose to specifically highlight trans rights this year.

Take a look at these awesome pictures and a run-down of events during Tel Aviv Pride.

British LGBT travelers voted Ibiza the number 1 beach destination for gay-friendly travel.

NYC. Enjoy one of the summers most fun, fundraising events to support the showcasing of LGBTIQ stories, I'm from Driftwood's annual BBQ next Saturday.

Upcoming! Thinking about travel this fall? Join me at the Montpellier InterPride World & European Conference October 13-16. Check it out and also email me if you're interested in attending (I think it's a great excuse to see this beautiful French town.
