World News.

Uganda. The US granted asylum to a Ugandan LGBT activist, who was arrested, evicted and beaten back home.

California. Facebook is learning not to mess with Drag Queens – it’s “real name” enforcement will now be delayed (at least) two weeks after the company met with the fierce ladies.

US. Openly gay lawmaker Jared Polis (D-CO) plans to force a vote on employment discrimination (ENDA) this session. Also the Human Rights Campaign issued a report describing hate groups that export anti-gay views worldwide.

Jamaica. No way mon! Parliament considers Sexual Offenses Act – further punishing same-sex sexual acts (sodomy is already illegal).
 
Brazil. In a first for Latin America - three parents are allowed to be on a birth certificate!
 
South Africa. Not too many gay-friendly Imams out there – hopefully Cape Town gay Muslims won't be dissuaded by death-threats.

Global. My emails won't be filtered! Symantec removed an LGBTI category from it's filtering software.

Canada. Proving itself friendly, as always, Hockey Canada will introduce trans-inclusive locker room policy.

 

Travel.

Pride in Jerusalem will go on today, after being delayed due to the ongoing conflict.

Headed to Vegas this weekend? Don't be left out when Laverne Cox officially opens the new gay club called Liaison, 
inside Bally's (the only gay spot on the Strip).

No need to cancel your Uganda trip - the Tourism Board has announced gays are welcome (just don't be too gay?).
