The Caribbean may soon have a new gay destination - and it's not Cuba! Travel industry, government and advocacy groups announced a campaign in Santo Domingo Monday to promote LGBT tourism in the Dominican Republic - as well as employ LGBT people and promote LGBT rights in the Caribbean.
Mumbai Pride
Saturday Mumbai celebrated Pride. Check out these great pics from one of the participants and find Queer Azaadi Mumbai for more details on Pride in India. Next year, hopefully this will be me:

LGBT and trade groups called on President Obama to exclude Brunei from the new Trans-Pacific Partnership trade initiative. Last year the country enacted a law requiring death by stoning for LGBT people.

ISIL (ISIS) continues to brutally pass archaic judgements, this time stoning a man who survived his launch from a 6 story building.

Russian lesbians took a kiss-selfie in front of demure St. Petersburg lawmaker Vitaly Milonov, author of the anti-gay propaganda law. That ought to get the attention of men in India; 80 percent of calls to a recently opened lesbian suicide hot-line in Chennai come from men curious about relationships between women.

Sign of the new marriage-equality times? Even Evangelical Megachurches can be swayed! GracePointe in Franklin Tennessee announced it will treat same-sex couples exactly the same as opposite-sex couples.

President Obama gave a shout-out to openly gay soccer player Robbie Rogers for "blazing a trail for LGBT athletes" during an event honoring his team, the Los Angeles Galaxy, for winning the Major League Soccer Cub as well as the winners of hockey's 2014 Stanley Cup.

Nebraska discovered one way to engage Republicans over marriage equality: guns! Lawmakers included partners of those in same-sex relationships in a conceal/carry law for military spouses, allowing partners to carry concealed weapons even though they can't yet get married. Is this what they meant about marriage equality being dangerous to society?

  Travel

Find out what it's like eating fusion Japanese-Tex-Mex brunch from a Brooklyn restaurant in Berlin with hipster Adam.

Ever wonder what it's to be like to be gay in Sri Lanka? Nomadic boys get the scoop, but if you'd rather the women's perspective, enjoy Globetrotter Girls' trip. Thirsty for more Asia? Enjoy a 3 minute video tour of the best parts of India.

Headed south of the border to escape the cold? Check out Mérida, Mexico, capital of the state of Yucatán.
