Gay Diplomatic Power
The ultimate gay job! The US will soon have an official LGBT envoy. The Boston Globe broke the story last Thursday & the Blade followed  with responses from LGBT groups - the position will be held by a senior diplomat. Most assume the US leads on LGBT issues - but HuffPo examines the pro-gay foreign influence on LGBT issues in the US.
Stop the Discrimination!
Help end LGBT discrimination in the Philippines by taking action now! Manila is now considering legislation that would ban discriminatory policies in public and commercial spaces. Take a stand with the International Gay & Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC)!
Penatonix Grammy Win
In the gayest Grammys  yet, Sam Smith may have stolen the show with his four wins, but the quieter, cooler prize went to a cappella group Pentatonix, which includes 2 gay singers and 3 super hip allies! Go ahead add yourself to their 7 million You Tube subscribers! Brightest Young Things dissects the group & exposes the best IG shots from the gays.

Queer activists took to the stage in Denver (picture above) at the National LGBTQ Task Force's annual Creating Change Conference to demand justice for transgender & queer people. Local police shot and killed a queer youth days before the conference and in the US assailants have killed at least five trans women of color in 2015.

LGBT people are in danger in Ghana: A mob of high school students attempted to deliver "justice" to two boys found having sex and a well-known gay event promoter was brutally beaten in Accra.

A Minnesota-native Russian TV actor on the "Scrubs" equivalent - but even more popular - "Interns" came-out publicly and the response is muted thus far; the TV show plans to keep him on the show where he plays alongside a virulently anti-gay actor who has said publicly "gays should burn in an oven."

Exciting news in Slovakia where anti-marriage and adoption referendums failed due to a lack of voter turn-out. The 20 percent of voters who participated overwhelmingly supported these bans - but it's clear the majority of society is at least unconcerned with the issue.

Not so surprising - the US Navy held the very first "ceremonial first kiss" between a gay male couple this week when a submarine returned to San Diego after seven months at sea.

Nepal could be the first country to implement marriage equality. A government committee made recommendations that the country create legal frameworks for same-sex couples and their children.

The Malaysia ruling party continues to use never-enforced sodomy laws to imprison a leading opposition figure. They claim he had sex with an aide within the opposition party!
