Meet MARCID THE TYPHOON, a no-nonsense bugbear who acts as the muscle for the Crescent Moon Trading Company, played by B. Dave Walters (and also his anxious coral trident Alycon, played by Brennan). B. Dave was kind enough to answer a few questions about his character:

How did you create your character?
I've been lucky to play so many different characters that at this point I approach it from the point of view of what haven't I done before now? Freely (ed. note: B. Dave’s character in Silver & Steel) is sweet and happy-go-lucky so I knew I wanted someone grim and intense.  He's also a super magic boi so I wanted a melee-centric character.  Playing a big, shadowy ganker was about as different as I could get!

How was your experience making this season of Dimension 20?
AMAZING! Pre-taping is rough because it all goes by so fast, but we packed the full range of emotions into a very short amount of time.  A lot of it is a blur of adrenaline that I can't wait to see again for the first time!

Have you seen the fan art that's already being made for this season, even before it's premiered?
No, never. Not for me or any show I've been a part of.  Marcid already has more fan art than any character but Baron Victor Temple and you guys have only seen 30 seconds of him!  I expect the amount of fan art to go way way down (evil grin).

"Yes, Alycon; I'm in danger."
Meet BARBARELLA SASPARILLA GAINGLYNN (aka “Bob”), The Pearl of the Gold Gardens, the sultry songstress of the seraphim, the one and only, played by Krystina Arielle. Krystina answered a few of our questions to shed some light on her experience as Bob:

How did you create your character?
I created my character during session zero. While we were talking I heard a character voice in my head and her story soon followed.

How was your experience making this season of Dimension 20?
This filming experience was unique and incredible. We’re in this (hopefully) once in a lifetime moment and having this show to commemorate that time will always be special to me.

Have you seen the fan art that's already being made for this season, even before it's premiered?
I am a total fan girl of every artist in the Dimension 20 family. It’s a little overwhelming to see this premature love for a character you love so much before the story has even been shared! But I’m m excited to see what they come up with after some really cool moments. Wink wink nudge nudge.

No spoilers but my favorite moment is the introduction to Bob. I think it’s very... her.
Meet MYRTLE (THE BITCH), scavenger legend of Jetsam and follower of Umberlee, goddess of the deep, as played by Aabria Iyengar. Aabria answered a few of our questions about her experience making Pirates of Leviathan...

How did you create your character?
My original plan was actually to play a swashbuckling, charming, con-artist warlock of Bill Seacaster! Then as we learned more about the map of Leviathan, I couldn't stop thinking about Jetsam, and the kinds of people that would live primarily below the waterline but still consider themselves a part of pirate culture. A mermaid seemed like the obvious choice, and then I just sort of went down the line and tweaked the concept until I arrived at my spicy fishwife, Myrtle!

How was your experience making this season of Dimension 20?
From the moment we first jumped on to the planning call, I've been blown away and awed by the creativity, hilarity and heart of everyone involved with this season! Though no one was really a stranger to me, this was my first time playing with most of the table, so the idea of sitting down and telling the entirety of this story in 48 hours instead of having weeks apart to reflect on character arcs and have meta-discussions with other players was intimidating at first. But everyone here is a top-tier roleplayer for a reason; we found our rhythm right away, and this was one of the best campaigns I've ever been a part of!

Have you seen the fan art that's already being made for this season, even before it's premiered?
Yo, it has been a BLAST to see all of the amazing interpretations of not just Myrtle but all the Buccaneer Buddies across Twitter, Insta, and Tumblr! We've definitely been sharing links to one another to make sure no one misses cool art, and Krystina and I have been SWOONING over all the Bob X Myrtle shipping! I love it so much. I want to make a big collage of all the art I can find and put it up in my office!

Meet CHEESE STORMCRANK, young amateur necromancer who lives in Cannoncourt, is self-taught in spellcraft, and wears his brother’s oversized coat, played by Carlos Luna.
Meet SUNNY BISCOTTO, the Aarakocra paladin devotee of pirate legend Jane Wren...but don’t tell the rest of her family, who are all followers of Sol (definitely something with Dimension 20 campaigns and Sol-loving families who have one rebellious daughter). Played by Marisha Ray, Sunny is gonna teach everyone more about the pirate code than they ever could have guessed!
Meet “UNLUCKY” JACK BRAKKOW, the former captain of The Late Bloomer, a sunken ship whose only legacy is Jack and the massive mast he carries with him everywhere he goes. Played by Matt Mercer, he’s known as the most cursed person on all of Leviathan (a nod towards Matt’s... less-than-ideal rolls throughout Escape From the Bloodkeep).
Brennan Lee Mulligan’s dream come true - a campaign with NOTHING but pirate characters! Brennan answered a few questions for us to give you a preview of what’s to come in the pirate-y-est sidequest yet!

What inspired this season of Dimension 20?
People loved Leviathan (myself included!) and looking back at the massive map we made, it was clear we BARELY got to explore it in Fantasy High: Sophomore Year. Plus, what would be better than an Oops! All Pirates season?

How did you gather this all-star crew?
We put together a dream list of players for the season, and miraculously all of them said yes! It probably wouldn't have been possible to gather an all-star team like this if not for the remote-shooting setup of the season, so that's a silver lining to everything.

How off the rails did this season get?
Extremely! It's about a bunch of pirates doing shenanigans in a floating shipwreck city! It even STARTED OFF wildly off the rails when my internet stopped working the day before we were supposed to shoot, so I had  to do the entire thing from our producer's house (big thanks to Becca Scott for lending us her streaming setup!)

Can you give the audience any hints about the season?
The two most exciting words in the English language: INSURANCE. PAPERWORK.
