Weâ€™re very excited about our upcoming education program for kids and adults alike! Bring a flashlight and join us for an evening outdoors with naturalist, Steve Rannels as he takes us on a journey into the world of crickets and katydids!

Steve has been interested in the natural world since childhood when he joined the 4-H entomology club and began identifying and collecting insects. Years later, his fascination for insects continues as he currently photographs butterflies and moths. Steve majored in zoology at Penn State University and went on to obtain his Ph.D in physiology at the Penn State University College of Medicine in Hershey.
