March marked an unprecedented moment in the fight for criminal justice reform as, for the first time ever, business leaders are joining forces to end the death penalty. 

Announced by RBIJ CEO Celia Ouellette and Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson at SXSW, Business Leaders Against the Death Penalty brings together key industry figures to call for worldwide abolition.

The RBIJ coordinated campaign is rapidly gaining momentum, and has launched with the support of 21 global business titans - united in their opposition to capital punishment and calling on governments everywhere to end the practice.

Maryland votes to end Juvenile Life Without Parole Sentencing!


Backed by business leaders including Ben & Jerry's, Dave's Killer Bread, Verizon and The Body Shop, Maryland lawmakers voted overwhelmingly to approve legislation that will prohibit life without parole sentences for juveniles in the state.
