News from Gomel

Throughout April, we prepared for our Easter retreat. It has become a tradition for our church to chose a place outside the city and spend a day celebrating. Two weeks before, we cleaned the grounds and prepared for the kids' Easter Quest with a lot of help from our youth group.  We invited friends and neighbors. We prayed for cooperative weather and prepared the service. God blessed us with wonderful weather, and an engaging service with the Kids' Quest, music, great food and a sermon.

We've continued School Without Walls, holding two more sessions since our last update.  About 20 people studied the different names for God in the Bible. I am glad that our church members are making an effort to attend these courses and are growing in the knowledge of God.

We pray for all those close to us, who attend our home groups and our meetings. We believe that the Lord is doing His work in their hearts. I continue to visit the family of Yuri and Galina as often as I can. I pray for their further growth in relationship with Christ. I believe that the Lord is doing His work in this family.

Summer is ahead and we are praying for the ways we can minister to children and teens. We’re hoping to have host a Church Camp for 3-4 days or a hike.
